I've had this desk for a week now, and despite my hang ups purchasing, assembling, and for maybe the first day, I've decided I love it. The size was just hard for me to visualize, and I was afraid I hadn't gotten a big enough one - but this fits my two 27" monitors nicely, allows me to use the shelf separately, and gives me space on the end for paperwork (or my cat). the height of the desk is a problem for me and maybe only me - I would prefer to use a keyboard tray, however the tops of my chair arms would hit it and they can't be adjusted. That said, my keyboard is up on the desktop, in front of my monitors, which are at the bend of the desk, and it is still very comfortable for me. the desk top itself is shallow -18" or so, and I am closer to my monitors than before, but that hasn't proved to be an issue for me, and I do use this for work all day and gaming. I got the white top option, and it is very well made and looks great. Assembly was not difficult, and I did it myself & without a drill - don't let other scare you! It comes with the correct sized hex wrench and extras of all the bolts you will use. I assembled mine "backwards" from the instructions (the short side is on the left for me when using) - while the desk does not come with specific instructions on this, you can easily turn them around in your head to accomplish your goals. Overall, this is really nice, and looks great in my "home office" - aka living room.
