Highwood Hartford Fan Trellis 6FT - White Decorative Garden Trellis for Climbing Plants, Outdoor Patio, and Backyard Decor

These trellises are beautiful/handsome AND are made in the USA. They are easy to assemble, with a few tips. I am sure they will last a good, long time. Customer service, if you have questions, is excellent. The “feet” or “spikes” (not shown in Amazon picture) are definitely a plus, but one must really pack the dirt down around them so they stay put in a heavy wind and rain storm. This is the voice of experience speaking.I have 3 of these trellises and each one came with a different set of instructions, one more helpful than the others. First, my advice: I found things went better if I drilled through the cross-braces so I could see the nail and position it accurately in the vertical spine. I also found it helpful to drill slightly into the vertical spines so the screw lands in the proper spot. It is claimed that the holes are predrilled—none of mine were, they are only pre-marked. If you are stronger than I am, this may not be an issue.To begin, attach the lower cross-brace with one of the enclosed screws to the vertical spine, beginning in the center; then gently bend the outside vertical on one side until the nail and hole are aligned and secure with screw; then attach the middle spine. Repeat on other side. Before you start, be sure the cross-brace is positioned with the slant side up so it will match the outer edge of the trellis.Next, attach the upper, wider cross-brace, center first and so forth.The enclosed square-headed bit did not fit any of my screwdrivers so I used the drill to screw until I obtained a more accommodating screwdriver. The spines really do bend--it's an amazing material and design!
